I bought a bicycle the other day.
I bought the bike in order to exercise, to go on excursions with my kids, maybe lose some weight and decrease my snoring -- all good intentions.
But I didn't have the money for it.
I didn't have the money for it so I did exactly what I tell my kids to never do -- I put it on the credit card.
And it doesn't matter HOW I justify doing it, it was a bad decision.
I could have waited until I had the money. I could have bought a cheapo bike just to get me started. Maybe I could've even borrowed one for awhile -- but I didn't. It was late at night, my mind was on buying a bicycle, and with one click of the mouse I put myself that much further away from being debt free.
I was going to post a photo of the bike today, but now I'm having a hard time even looking at the thing.
I guess there's only one solution:
Get my butt out on that bike and make it pay for itself.
I'll let you know how it all comes out.
